1986 Major Commission **
The Area Museum for the South west of England commissioned me to produce ‘on
site’ works at all the leading ancient sites from the Scillies in the West to
Stonehenge in the east. The commission took two years to put together and
toured the west country for eighteen months.
The archaeologist Aubrey
Burl wrote the text to accompany the works created which toured the following

1987 Commission** in
co-operation with National Museum of Wales to work ‘on site’ at all their
leading ancient sites. Took two years, over ninety works were made. They never
toured as intended due to lack of resource from the Welsh Museum system.
National Museum saved the day by purchasing several for their permanent
collection. All this work to date has not been seen in Wales.

2010/11 Retrospective at
Bilston Craft Gallery. All my leading works about ancient sites, and industrial
landscape over the past thirty years.
I continue to travel to record as a
fine artist the wonderful megalithic legacy left by our forefathers. I have
many drawings now made on site and have been working out in Crete , France and
Spain this year. I also love painting out in Shropshire in all weathers. My
fondness of Ironbridge still compels me to draw and print its wondrous houses
and streets. I have recently finished new steel etched industrial panels which
reflect my memories as a child of West Midland Industry[ 2011]. Also recent
work has been large drawings of Drop Forges at Stokes and Sons in Brierly Hill
Hand building printing machines for
other artists, students etc has been a great privillage over the past 25 years.
Over a thousand machine sales world wide so far and this year is looking like
the best sales year yet.
